This was a great movie. I had seen it before but I fall in love with it all over again every time I see it. This movie had such a wonderful cast of the most talented actors from Hollywood's Golden era. Adolphe Menjou was simply the cream of the crop as a comedic and dramatic actor. And he brought out the best of beautiful leading lady Andrea Leeds, her talent was elevated playing opposite Menjou. I had seen Edgar Bergen and Charlie McCarthy's act in a couple of other old movies, but Edgar and Charlie were at their best in this movie; they were funny even by today's standards. It just goes to show how important great writers and a great director are, and this movie had both. This movie also had one of my all time favorite comedic actresses, Eve Arden. Though this was not her greatest movie role, or best comedic lines, I still always enjoy seeing her in any movie.

The men treated her like "anybody's", even though they never had her. The one man who could have her used her, discarded her for money, and then joined the ranks of the karma crew.

Somehow the Ruby character doesn't elicit any sympathy. Perhaps the script writer didn't give the actress enough good lines or maybe the actress doesn't do a convincing job. Over and over you keep waiting for the slightest bit of likeability, but she just keeps coming across as selfish and heartless and scheming. And that's when she's not coming across as a cat in heat.

Terrific movie. Stellar cast. Great screen play. King Vidor was a master at bringing all the ingredients together - except at about 1:55:00 the sound track from a jungle, not a NC swamp! Too bad you had to delete the credits and obscure the real title. None the less, thank you.

Highly enjoyable, a clever script, amazing how subtle they exposed the female mind , before Tik Tok an app where they have the freedom to openly express their true nature. Nice men come last, they lust after the bad boy.

I really liked the movie... However it is quite irritating to have the screen blown up with ads for another two movies, obscuring the final ending script... Why can't the ads come after the movie is completed and the roll of characters seen..? This really screws the pooch... this has happened so often on so many movies on this platform - I strenuously object to this and wish I could stop it... I paid not to have ads, period... ads should come only after the total completion of the films and the roll of characters...
